Find Your Calm

Jervis Bay is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. But nobody likes wind-blown sand. We use live weather data to analyse real-time wind speed and direction, showing you exactly where the water is calmest right now.

Family Friendly

Sheltered beaches mean calmer water and no sand in your eyes. Perfect for families with young children looking to relax and play safely.

Live Geography

Because the bay is roughly circular, it's almost always possible to find a sheltered shore. We calculate the exposed angle of every beach against live wind data.

Real-time Updates

Conditions change fast on the coast. Our system pulls forecast wind speeds, direction, and swell data every 10 minutes so you don't waste time driving to the wrong spot.

Understanding the Scores

How we rate each beach

Great Conditions Sheltered from the wind today. The absolute best choices if you're looking for calm water. Get in the car and go!
Good Conditions Partially sheltered from today's wind. While not perfect, these beaches are still a very solid choice.
Best to Avoid While still beautiful, today's wind is blowing directly onto these shores. Best to check back another day.

Our Story

Living right here on the bay as a family with young kids, we know the drill. Before putting this site together, we relied on a messy mix of weather apps and map-guessing to work out where the wind wasn't blowing.

We built this tool to take the guesswork out of finding calm water. Whether you’re a local avoiding the nor'easter or just visiting on a short holiday, we hope this saves you time searching and gives you more time swimming.
